Society has experienced a dramatic transition over the past three years. The pandemic changed our relationships with each other, our institutions, and ourselves. As we emerge into this new phase, we need to take time to reflect on how we’ve changed. Both as people, and as a global community. History, and life, is a never ending process of transition. How we respond, reflect, and react to this change determines whether or not we build a better future for ourselves and our children—and on a personal note, if we can grow despite uncertain times.

In the 2022-2023 issue of Agora, we hope to explore how recent events have impacted students, patients, healthcare, the scientific community, and society at large. We invited NYU Grossman School of Medicine, NYU Langone Medical Center, and the larger New York City Community to share with us changes that they have experienced in the past, how recent events have impacted the world, and dreams for the future.
Hopefully, we all learn and grow in the process.
