Branching together

“Branching together” explores how the structure of human lungs intimately mirrors the shape of the trees that create the very oxygen we breathe. The use of colored pencil for the tree contrasts with the charcoal used for the human lungs, emphasizing the perceived separation between humans and plants. As a whole, the work underlines how human vitality is inseparable from the health of our natural environment.
