Deep unfathomable blue

Catalinas adrift 

Swinging with the wind

Catching hope

Squawking pelicans 

Beating unfurled wings

Touching cumulus

Swooping fish schools

Sandpipers foraging

Salty wet sand

Tiny invisible footprints

Lazy iridescent iguana 

Squinting sun away 

Sage grass cools

My brown sweaty skin
