As a neuroscientist and artist, I believe that the brain holds the key to understanding truths in ourselves and truths of the world. Painting a brain mural on my home office wall during the pandemic was an opportunity to find joy and to be intentional during a challenging time. By sharing my own experience acting with intention, during a time many of us felt a lack of control, and in a way meaningful to me personally, I hope to provide an example of one way to embrace the changes that come with life's transitions.
